Everyone has heard the phrase “lead generation,” but do you know how to create a simple but powerful lead generation strategy? Most small business owners don’t. We are going to go over nine powerful ideas on how to get the most out of your lead generation strategy.


Don’t be afraid to use email marketing.

This is a great way to reach out to your potential customers. It helps them decide if your product is right for them. Make sure you have an opt-in included. Once they have subscribed, keep your company in their mind by sending more information about your product and company regularly.


Blogs are powerful.

Many people think blogging is a waste of time for a business, but that is completely wrong. Blogging is a great way to build up your SEO which gets you seen. Potential customers will browse blogs to see what information you are sending out before they decide to buy. If they really like the blog they will share it with their friends, making more leads for you company.


Use the power of Social Media.

So many business owners miss out on potential sales by not having and using a social media account for their business. By posting on social media, you are creating leads by having people Like, Share, and Tweet about your business.


Networking is still a great idea.

Get out there and do some networking! You can join a local networking group or even an online networking community. You are getting your business in front of other business and you can arrange to do joint advertising. You can advertise their services and they can advertise yours if you have partnering services.


Make up hard to resist offers.

Everyone loves a good deal and will share if the deal is amazing. This gives you more leads as customers will talk to their friends about the amazing offer you have. Let your customers bring the leads to you!

Get testimonials from your happy customers. Many customers want to hear how well it worked for someone else. Then when it works for them, they will tell others by being one of your success stories.  Each success will bring in another one.

When you are communicating with your customers, make sure you personalize it. Don’t send a generic mass email. Make sure the customer feels like you care about them as a person, not just another sales number. You would be surprised how many leads you will bring in just by giving it that personal touch.

The whole point of a CTA (call to action) and a landing page is to get the customer to buy, subscribe, or request more information. By motivating your viewer to complete the CTA, you are building your lead base, which helps build your email list.


Plan and be prepared.

Don’t just start trying to get leads without planning. Not all of these options may work for all businesses. Plan out your strategy on how you are going to bring in leads. Be prepared to switch gears if something is not working.


Generating leads can be discouraging at times. Don’t give up. Give different things a try and see what works best for your company. It can take a little while, but it will be worth it.
